Plan Ahead for Your Abortion or Gynecological Visit
Follow ALL pre-op instructions provided by our gynecologist, including…
Do NOT eat or drink anything after midnight the day before your visit.
Having an empty stomach before undergoing anesthesia helps ensure your safety.
Anesthesia helps your muscles relax, where normal reflexes such as coughing do not function well. You are more likely than normal to have stomach contents pass up to the mouth and enter your windpipe, possibly reaching your lungs. If this happens serious complications may occur. If you have an empty stomach, this is highly unlikely to happen.

We offer full anesthesia services (pain-free abortion or gynecological visit in New Jersey) provided by a board-certified anesthesiologist. This will allow you to be completely asleep and comfortable.
Other providers may offer “sedation services,” but this is not comparable to FULL ANESTHESIA, nor does it provide the safety and comfort that anesthesia administered by a board-certified anesthesiologist can offer.
For those patients who do not wish to receive anesthesia or sedation, we offer surgical procedures with local anesthetic in which the surgical area is numbed while the patient is awake.
